Changes to Access to Periodicals from 1 July
Please note that from 1 July 2026, periodicals published more frequently than once a month — including daily newspapers, weekly magazines and fortnightly publications — will be available exclusively in digital form via Polona.pl and Academica.
After placing an order through the National Library catalogue, readers will receive information about the estimated date when the digital version will be available. This notification will be sent to the e-mail address provided during registration. Readers who have not registered an e-mail address will find this information in their account in the National Library catalogue.
In exceptional cases, where access to the original material is essential for scholarly research, periodicals published from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century and issued more frequently than once a month may be made available in their original physical form. Requests, together with a brief justification, should be addressed to the Head of the Periodicals Department at: a.monczak@bn.org.pl
