A study visit of representatives of the National Library of Cuba
The National Library hosted a delegation of representatives of the National Library of Cuba which bears the name of José Martí. During that visit, an agreement was concluded regarding co-operation between the two institutions – signed by dr Tomasz Makowski, director general of the National Library in the presence of Cuba Republic chargé d’affaires, Ms Brenda Cantalapiedra Aguilera.
The guests visited the treasury of the National Library as well as the reading rooms and conservative and digitalisation workshops.
The visit proved to be a perfect opportunity to exchange experiences when it comes to publicising, collecting, conservation and digitalisation of collections. The National Library received a gift: digital copies of Spanish-language posters of Polish films presented since the second half of the 20th century in Cuban cinemas.
