Meeting of the Advisory Board of the “Polish Libraries”

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the Advisory Board of the “Polish Libraries” yearbook met for the first time this year. The meeting began with a ceremonial presentation of nominations to the members of the Borad.
The nominations were received by:
- Prof. Elżbieta Zybert – Chairwoman of the Advisory Board,
- Dr. Jacek Kordel – Deputy Chairman,
- Prof. Krystyna Jaworska,
- Dr. Jędrzej Leśniewski,
- Dr. Sigitas Narbutas,
- Dr. Krzysztof Nierzwicki,
- Prof. Rafał Wiśniewski.
Editor-in-Chief Dr. Tomasz Makowski welcomed the members of the Board and then prof. Elżbieta Zybert took the floor, congratulating the director of the National Library on his assumption of the position of chairman of the World Conference of Directors of National Libraries (CDNL).
During the meeting, the state of work on the current issue of the journal, the structure and content of the yearbook, and proposals for its further development were discussed. The idea of introducing a new section about important events in the world of librarianship was approved.
Prof. Krystyna Jaworska proposed introducing a series of articles devoted to Polish collections in foreign libraries. The idea was supported by the editorial staff and members of the Board – among the first proposals were texts about the Polish Library in Paris and about the resources of libraries in Argentina.
The Advisory Board unanimously accepted Issue 13 of "Polish Libraries".
